It's time! Tonight we open in Freiburg – the grand finale of the season! Dramatic, dark, and psychologically intense: Händel’s Tamerlano is one of the most intricate operas of its time – and rarely performed. Under the baton of René Jacobs, a master of Baroque drama, this gripping chamber opera unfolds with emotional intensity and musical finesse. At his side is an excellent ensemble of soloists: 🎭 Paul-Antoine Bénos-Djian performs the title role of Tamerlano, 🎭 Thomas Walker takes on the tragic Bajazet, 🎭 Katharina Ruckgaber is the touching Asteria, with Alexander Chance (Andronico), Helena Rasker (Irene) and Matthias Winckhler (Leone) completing the finely cast team of singers. Featuring the rarely heard and deeply expressive tenor role of Bajazet, whose death scene ranks among the most powerful in all of opera. 📍 May 8 – Freiburg @konzerthaus.freiburg – last tickets available 📍 May 12 – Berlin Philharmonie Berlin – last tickets available 📍 May 14 – Barcelona @palaumusicacat 📍 May 16 – Madrid @teatro_real 📍 May 18 – Valencia @palaumusicavlc #Tamerlano #Handel #BaroqueOpera #RenéJacobs #TourStart #LiveMusic #OperaSeasonFinale @paulantoine.benos.djian @katharina.ruckgaber @alexander_chancect @helenaraskercontralto @matthiaswinckhler

🎵Programma: Johann Sebastian Bach I sei Concerti brandeburghesi ️🗓️ Martedì 29 aprile, h 20:30 📍 Sala Verdi, Via Conservatorio 12, Milano 🎟 #LINKINBIO
